HBC Raises the 'Barre'

Devoid of frilly tutus, glittery crowns, and any sparkling set design, the Harvard Ballet Company (HBC) presented “Barre None” this past weekend, showcasing ballet in its purest form.

Incorporating routines from the renowned George Balanchine as well as student choreographers, the Harvard Ballet Company showcased both modern and traditional elements of ballet.


The Israel-Palestine Debate

Bashir Bashir, adjunct lecturer at the Department of Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Leila Farsakh, Associate Professor of Science at the University of Massachusetts, Boston speak at the Kennedy School of Government about alternatives to the partitioning of land between Israel and Palestine. Bashir and Farsakh focused on the proposal of "bi-nationalism" as an alternative that would secure national and individual rights.


Organized by the Harvard Jazz Bands and the Office for the Arts, “Walking the Bass Line: A Tribute to Milt Hinton” featured jazz bassist and guest of honor Cecil McBee.
