Havana Nights

The David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies hosted the exhibit Havana Revisited: An Architectural Heritage Cuban Studies Program, featuring images of Havana's most important buildings and urban spaces.


David E Shaw, chief scientist at DE Shaw Research, and the billionaire founder of DE Shaw & Company, demonstrates the cutting edge scientific simulations of the newly built Anton supercomputer, at Maxwell Dworkin Hall on Wednesday.


Although the Task Force Report has had minimal concrete impact thus far, the administration’s open support for the arts has caused a wave of optimism among the student body.


Body Found at Peabody Terrace

A body was found at Peabody Terrrace this past weekend. Residents of Mather Tower facing Flagg St. face the housing complex's parking lot which were police cars and fire trucks Friday evening. Peabody Terrace is bounded by Flagg St., Banks St., Memorial Drive and Akron St.


Anne Hathaway, Hasty Pudding Theatricals Woman of the Year

Anne Hathaway was honored by Harvard's Hasty Pudding Theatricals as the 2010 Woman of the Year on January 28, 2010. After a nippy parade in Harvard Square, she was honored with the traditional pudding pot and roasted at the New College Theatre.


Gammons Recounts Sports Journalism Career

Longtime sports journalist Peter Gammons recounted stories from his four decades of covering baseball and the Red Sox, touching on topics ranging from journalistic ethics to steroids use.


Famed sports journalist and Major League Baseball Hall of Fame member Peter Gammons spoke yesterday at the First Congregational Church as a part of the Home Run in Harvard Square series hosted by at an event Hosted by the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. Gammons, a long time writer for the Boston Globe as well as Sports Illustrated, spoke on The Boston Red Sox's off season moves, the steroid era, the baseball free agency period or "Hot Stove", and other baseball related issues.
