Thousands of people, many of them students, poured into the streets of downtown Boston Wednesday night to protest Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 presidential election.


Birds of a Feather

Roughly three dozen Harvard custodial and security workers staged a demonstration for increased health benefits and higher wages outside the Smith Campus Center Monday afternoon. Citing the dining services workers’ strike as inspiration, the workers and 32BJ Service Employees International Union hope to negotiate an acceptable contract by mid-November.


Sit-In

Hundreds of students and HUDS supporters marched into 124 Mount Auburn Street, home to several Harvard offices, where negotiations over contracts continue Monday afternoon. Communication between Harvard and UNITE HERE Local 26 is being facilitated through mediators.


Lang Is Arrested

President of UNITE HERE Local 26 Brian Lang speaks to crowd of striking workers outside the Science Center Friday afternoon. Lang was later arrested by the Cambridge Police Department after blocking traffic in Harvard Square.


11 Arrested in Dining Services Protest

Cambridge Police officers arrested 11 people Friday who were blocking traffic in protest of recent labor negotiations between Harvard and its dining services workers.
