No. 20 Men's Hockey Ousted by St. Lawrence, 6-3

No. 10/10 Women’s Ice Hockey Falters in Beanpot Consolation, Fails to Continue Saturday’s Late-Game Heroics

Coming off a dramatic comeback win against Colgate on Saturday, Harvard entered the Beanpot consolation looking to add a quality non-conference win to its resume. In an earlier meeting on Dec. 31, the Crimson went on the road to Boston College and soundly defeated the Eagles, pushing the margin to a 7-1 victory over the then top-10 team. In Tuesday’s contest, however, BC capitalized on the opportunity for revenge. After falling to a 3-0 deficit, Harvard only mustered one goal in response as the Eagles soared to a 3-1 victory.

No. 10/10 Women’s Ice Hockey Drops Beanpot Semifinal Tilt to No. 3/2 Northeastern

With under three minutes left in the first semifinal of the 2020 Beanpot, No. 10/10 Harvard had managed to keep the deficit at 2-1 against No. 3/2 Northeastern. The Crimson defense and its junior goaltender Becky Dutton had faced many close calls from the Huskies attack—notably a puck off the post in the third and a series of key saves from Dutton—but seemed to maintain a “bend don’t break” attitude.

Calm Before the Storm

Harvard huddles during its 2019 Beanpot finals appearance against Boston University. This year, however, the Crimson will not have the chance to avenge its overtime loss to the Terriers, falling in the 2020 semifinals.

Men's Basketball's Baker Excels After Summer at NBA

And while Baker’s future may one day lead him to the NBA League offices once again, or perhaps the front office of an NBA franchise, those are opportunities to consider on another day. But three seasons and three Ivy League tournaments have left the Crimson’s seniors, at one time ranked as a top 10 recruiting class nationally, without a single, ever so elusive, NCAA Tournament appearance.

Lewis' Senior Surge for Men's Basketball

With fellow senior Bryce Aiken exiting the first game of the trip with a sprained foot, Lewis calmly stepped into the spotlight, leading Harvard to a flawless 4-0 road trip before returning home to beat UC Irvine.

Firkser also came up with a major third-down catch for the Tennessee Titans that helped to seal the upset victory over the New England Patriots in the Crimson alum’s return to Massachusetts.
