Love it: Half Marathons

I started out by running 1/26th marathons in high school gym class. PSA: Reward Programs in Harvard Square

For some people, it’s reached that point in the semester where you’re sick of d-hall food, but it’s also too close to Thanksgiving Break to ask your parents to send you a care package filled with junk food that you trick yourself into believing can replace meals. The Smith Campus Center and the Ghost of the Harvard Union

At the turn of the 20th century, the Harvard Union was built to provide a club for social purposes open to all Harvard University students; the space was meant to unify a social scene that seemed to be primarily run solely by final clubs and other “elite” institutions.

The Mind Behind the Chairs

“I was always thinking, ‘Is there something inexpensive and not too crazy that we can do to make the Yard friendlier for a public school kid from Ohio?’” says Michael R. Five Ways TFs Can Stop Students from Attending Office Hours

As Benjamin Franklin famously (kind of) said, “at Harvard, nothing can be said to be certain, except lazy TFs and overeager students.” Whether because they’re struggling with an assignment or hoping to suck up to their grader, overeager students can regularly be found at TFs’ office hours. So for those lazy TFs out there, here are the top five ways to deter students from showing up when you’re just trying to get ahead on your dissertation and watch some Hulu.
