Harvard Breaks Series Drought With 1-0 Victory Over Minnesota
They say the third time’s a charm, and for the Harvard women’s hockey team Friday night, that couldn’t have been more true.
'Golden' Goal
Junior Liza Ryabkina found the back of the net against Minnesota’s Noora Raty on Friday to give Harvard the 1-0 advantage it’d maintain to the final buzzer. After starting the season 2-3-0, the Crimson women’s hockey team has failed to loss since, now sporting a 7-3-2 record.
No. 2 Minnesota To Test Crimson at Home
The Crimson women’s hockey team hopes that its recent success is a good sign for this weekend’s two-game set against one of its biggest rivals, Minnesota. The puck drops tonight at 7 p.m. at Bright Hockey Center, and the teams will face off again tomorrow at 4 p.m.
Average Jose
Freshman Josephine Pucci has contributed seven points thus far in the season, good for seventh in the nation among rookie players. Pucci represents one of many sources of offense for the Crimson, as the team has utilized a balanced attack to go unbeaten in its last five games.

A dislocated knee has kept junior Liza Ryabkina on the bench since September, but she returned Wednesay to score a game winner.
Back On Ice, Junior Snaps Deadlock
With minutes left in the third period on Wednesday night, Harvard women’s hockey and its Dartmouth opponent were deadlocked at two and overtime seemed imminent. That is, until junior forward Liza Ryabkina got involved.

Last Wednesday against Dartmouth, junior forward Liza Ryabkina returned to the ice after recovering from a dislocated knee. The Kharkiv, Ukraine native did not disappoint, contributing an assist before putting the Big Green away with a game-winning goal in the third period.

Just when it looked like the Harvard and Dartmouth women’s hockey teams might be heading toward overtime last night, junior forward Liza Ryabkina marked her return to the ice with a game-winning goal for the Crimson.

Rookie Jillian Dempsey continued to be a dominant force on the ice for the Crimson women’s hockey squad. She notched two goals and three assists in a pair of weekend contests against Brown and Yale.
