Harvard celebrates a goal earlier in the season against St. John's, a 3-2 overtime win that added to the Crimson's resume. Ultimately, Harvard compiled a 15-3-1 record on the season, which ended Sunday at the hands of Wake Forest.


Women's Soccer Wins At-Large Bid, Headed to the NCAA Tournament for the First Time Since 2016

Two long days after Harvard completed its regular season with a win at Columbia, the Crimson can finally exhale. On Monday afternoon, Harvard (12-2-1, 5-2-0 Ivy League) learned that it earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, where it will join Ancient Eight rivals Brown and Princeton. The Crimson will travel to face Wake Forest (15-5-0, 7-5-0 ACC) in Winston-Salem on Sunday at 1 p.m.

First-year forward/midfielder Nicola Golen controls the ball against Dartmouth on Oct. 30 in the Crimson's last home game. Harvard will be hoping that it still has games to play as it will await the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee's decision on Monday.


Women’s Soccer Comes from Behind to Beat Columbia 2-1, Now Awaits Selection Decision

Harvard responded well to going behind on a brisk Saturday afternoon in New York City, scoring just 38 seconds after Columbia took the lead and adding what turned out to be the game-winning goal on the stroke of halftime to squeak past the Lions, 2-1. The Crimson remained unblemished on the road and will hope that its resume is good enough to send Harvard (12-2-1, 5-2-0 Ivy League) into the NCAA Tournament when the selection committee makes its decision on Monday afternoon.


Women’s Soccer Defeats Dartmouth, Stays in Hunt for NCAA Tournament Bid

Harvard snapped its two-game Ivy League scoreless streak in the seventh minute on Saturday afternoon en route to a comfortable 3-1 win over Dartmouth at Jordan Field that kept the Crimson (11-2-1, 4-2-0 Ivy League) in the hunt for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Harvard Women’s Soccer Continues Winning Ways, Triumphs over CCSU

It took just four minutes into the game for the Crimson (10-1-1, 3-1-0 Ivy League) to get onto the scoreboard, when junior forward Angela Caloia found the back of the net with a blistering shot, thanks in part to precise playmaking and assists from senior midfielder/forward Sophie Hirst and first-year midfielder Hannah Bebar. This quick goal was a strong start to Harvard’s 3-0 victory over Central Connecticut State University (10-5-0, 7-2 Northeast Conference).


Women’s Soccer Drops Second Consecutive Ivy League Game 1-0, Extinguishing Hopes for Ancient Eight Title

Princeton’s forward Tatum Gee pounced on an under-hit back-pass, then calmly chipped the ball over the head of sophomore goalie Anna Karpenko and into the net in the 78th minute as a feeling of deja vu swept through the crowd at Jordan Field.

Women’s Soccer Turns It On In Second Half, Routs Cornell to Set Up Brown Showdown

Harvard went into the halftime break in Ithaca tied 0-0 Saturday afternoon, having been neutralized by Cornell’s first-half press. But any hope of a massive Big Red upset was quickly stamped out in the second stanza, as two goals from junior center forward Angela Caloia keyed the Crimson’s 4-0 win after the sluggish first-half performance.

No.10/20 Harvard spoiled Yale’s alumni weekend on Saturday in New Haven, controlling the game throughout en route to a 2-0 win at Reese Stadium that allowed the Crimson to remain one of the four undefeated teams in the nation.

Bebar Stars as Women’s Soccer Earns Comprehensive 3-0 Win over Penn

Hannah Bebar calmly received the ball with her back to goal and took a touch before turning and firing into the top right corner to put Harvard up 3-0. By the time the ball rippled the net for the third time at Jordan Field, it had become clear that the Crimson will present a different type of challenge for Ivy League defenses this season. In their last four meetings, No.15/23 Harvard (7-0-1, 1-0-0 Ivy League) and Penn (5-2-2, 0-1-0 Ivy) had scored three combined goals. The Crimson matched that total on a sunny Saturday afternoon, cruising past the Quakers to open the conference season with a resounding win.


Undefeated Women’s Soccer Receives National Recognition ahead of Ivy League Opener

When No.15/23 Harvard entered the Top Drawer national women’s soccer rankings after just three games, more than a few eyebrows may have been raised. The Crimson had not been ranked by either Top Drawer or the United Soccer Coaches poll since November of 2016, when Top Drawer ranked Harvard 24th for one week before dropping the Crimson out of the rankings.

Women's Soccer Defeats Kansas in Final Non-Conference Tune-Up

Harvard women’s soccer defeated Kansas 2-1 at Jordan Field on Sunday in a tight, cagey affair marred by several injuries. The Crimson maintained its undefeated record, improving to 6-0-1 in its final game before Ivy League play kicks off next Saturday.

Sophomore defender Taylor Fasnacht scores on the way to a 3-2 Crimson victory against St. John's on Sept. 5. Since the victory against the Red Storm, Harvard has drawn once and won once to maintain an undefeated record.
