Crimson Receives Sophomore Spark
For Taylor Docter, a second year on the volleyball court has just made her even more important to her team’s offense.
DOCTER’S ORDERS
Sophomore outside hitter Taylor Docter helped the Crimson earn a pair of key come-from-behind victories over the weekend. In the team’s defeat of Columbia Friday night, Docter had a team-high 17 kills and five service aces. Against Cornell the next night Docter led her squad again, tallying 13 kills.
Women’s Volleyball Rallies for Pair of Ivy Wins
The Crimson (5-11, 2-2 Ivy) won six sets over the weekend, equaling the number that the squad had won over the previous nine matches combined.

Sophomore outside hitter Taylor Docter came up huge in the Crimson’s pair of comeback wins this weekend, leading the team in kills against both Columbia and Cornell. Docter’s .441 hitting percentage against the Lions propelled Harvard to perhaps its biggest victory of the year.
Fry-ed Green Tomatoes
Junior Sandra Lynne Fryhofer had three kills and seven digs in Harvard’s 3-1 loss to Dartmouth. Fryhofer has the second-most set appearances on the Crimson team, which falls to 0-2 in Ivy play.
Volleyball Falters, Still Winless in Ivies
After ending a seven-match losing streak its last time out, the Harvard women’s volleyball team took the floor at the Malkin Athletic Center last Friday night looking to avenge the loss to Ivy League rival Dartmouth earlier this season.

Freshman setter Natalie Doyle (left), shown here in previous action, led the Crimson with 20 assists and 10 digs in last night’s five-set win over New Hampshire. The victory snapped a string of seven consecutive losses for Harvard, which improved its record on the season to 3-10.

Junior co-captain Anne Carroll Ingersoll, shown here in earlier action, led the women’s volleyball team with nine kills on Friday night. Harvard dropped its Ivy opener to Dartmouth, 3-1, its seventh straight loss, but in taking a set from the Big Green the Crimson broke a 17-set winless streak.

Though the schedule may have shifted into a new phase, the result was all too familiar for the Crimson.
