Geography of Harvard Athletes

The Crimson performed an analysis of athletes on Harvard varsity sport rosters from 2009-2010 to 2014-2015 using information listed on GoCrimson.com. The map above shows the distribution of hometowns for the athletes listed in the data set. The sliders (top) allow for the time interval from which the data was collected to be adjusted, while the drop-down menu (top right) allows for the data to be filtered by individual sport. The athletes from the data set appear on the map only in the year they first were listed on their team's roster.
