Fifteen minutes into the second period, sophomore Hillary Crowe put a shot past Russia’s goaltender to give the Harvard women’s hockey team a 3-0 advantage. Another goal 90 seconds later was the final score of the game as the Crimson topped Russia’s national team.
Akanksha Sharma '14, UC presidential candidate, hands out flyers for her launch party on Wednesday afternoon in front of the Science Center. She specifically asked passersby to reuse the flyers by handing them off to their peers, which is representative of the campaign's emphasis on community building and environmental consciousness.
Sophomore forward Noel Painter, shown above in earlier action, scored in the 40th minute of the Harvard field hockey team’s matchup with Columbia on Saturday afternoon at Jordan Field. Painter added an assist in the 70th minute, but it was not enough, as the Crimson fell to the Lions, 3-2.
Freshman forward Jake Freeman is knotted in a three-way tie for first place on the Harvard men’s soccer team with three goals. Freeman and the Crimson will take on Holy Cross on a date to be determined.
