Freshman Musical Clubs.

The Freshman Musical Clubs are now well under way, and are making constant improvement in preparation for the spring concerts to be given on May 14, 17 and 21. The material is excellent and if the attendance at rehearsals is good from now on, the concerts will undoubtedly be successful.

The Glee Club, although the last of the clubs to be started, has the largest number of men and is perhaps the farthest advanced. The chief fault lies with the first tenors, who have not been at all regular in attending rehearsals. The men sing well together, however, and should prove a good feature at the concerts.

The officers are: F. K. Leatherbee, president: G. H. Stevenson, secretary, and L. Harrison, leader. Following are the men singing on the club at present:

First tenors--R. B. Chapin, J. L. Swarts, C. O. Wellington, F. K. Leatherbee, R. L. Bacon, H. W. Nichols, C. M. Eldredge, A. L. Yocum, N. Hall; second tenors--G. H. Stevenson, N. B. Groton, D. S. Field, W. D. Dexter, S. Clarke, L. Harrison, W. P. Blodget, W. MacDonald, S. T. Stackpole; first basses A. R. Ellis, A. M. Harlow, F. LeG. Capers, R. L. Abeles, A. C. Cronin, J. Richards, A. S. Locke, T. J. Hanlon, J. J. Rowe, T. A. Green, W. F. Clapp, J. M. Ferguson; second basses--H. F. Evans, R. B. Gregg, A. H. Ramsay, P. J. Ramsey, J. Azarian, A. G. Fletcher, S. H. Eldridge, F. F. Dodge, H. H. Perry, E. H. Critchett, S. T. Gano, H. C. Hayes, S. H. Ackerman, J. W. Maxson.

The Banjo Club, composed of fourteen men, has some good material, but the club lacks finish. The officers are: president, J. B. Russell; secretary, H. L. Sigourney; leader, E. C. Potter, Jr. The following constitute the club:

Banjeaurines--E. C. Potter, Jr., S. P. Henshaw, R. K. Tomlin, J. B. Russell, G. A. Rivinus; banjos--N. P. Vollmer, H. M. Tillinghast, H. H. Sutphin, P. J. Christie, R. C. Jones; Guitars--H. L. Sigourney, D. W. Streeter, G. H. Stevenson, E. Thompson.

The Mandolin Club plays well together and has good expression. The officers follow: president, S. Clarke; secretary, R. D. Flint; leader, D. W. Streeter. Following are the men now on the club:

First mandolins--D. W. Streeter, S. Clarke, H. Grant, T. M. Chaplin, N. Paschall, P. E. Whiting, R. L. Abeles, W. Goodwin; second mandolins--F. K. Leatherbee, R. D. Flint, I. G. stetson, M. S. Kimball, K. Mills, G. L. Yocum, N. C. Nash, Jr., J. C. Prizer; third mandolins--J. H. Ijams, J. Weare, C. M. Clark, M. H. Stone, C. S. Downs, T. F. Dwyer; Guitars--H. L. Sigourney, S. E. Thomson, G.
