This time it is "Storer College," West Virginia. They want only $15,000 for a "John Brown" Professorship, to be filled by a colored person. We recommend for the position some one of the Memorial Hall faculty.

They do things better in the West. To be sure, it might be said that the freedom of the press is somewhat infringed upon, but then the majesty of the law must be vindicated at all hazards! At a certain "university" we wot of, whenever the college papers are smitten with a reform fever and begin to cry out for a reform in college administration, the editors are promptly "summoned," and sternly warned to mend their evil ways. If this does not prove effective harsher measures are sometimes adopted; the terrors of suspension are sometimes brought into requisition.

At the meeting of delegates from Racine, Evanston, and the University, a Western College Foot-Ball League was formed. Madison will enter the league by correspondence. In the list of officers selected, F. W. Davenport holds the office of president. Racine and Evanston have each a vice-president. Each member of the league has two directors. Those of the University are B. P. Entle, medic., and R. M. Dott, lit. The constitution of the Eastern league was adopted, with the changes necessary to adopt it to the West. A series of games will be played early the coming season, and the winner will play the Eastern champion for the United States college championship. - [Chronicle.
