PROPOSED SCRATCH-RACES.

As there will be no class race this fall it is proposed to revive the scratch races which used to afford so much amusement to the aquatic students. The following are the arrangements for the course and entries :

SATURDAY, Oct. 14. Course - From the first bridge below the boat-house, straightaway to Richardson's coal wharf. Entries - 1st, working singles; 2d, two freshman eights; 3d, senior eights, composed of men from the three upper classes. Entrance fee, 50 cents. If there is not enough entries by Friday night the races will be given up. Book at Bartlett's.
