The Era objects very smartly because we say "to the manner born," instead of "to the manor born" (we suppose). "Such is culture," it says. The Era is, we fear, a little too previous. We do not care to discuss questions of Shakespearean text-interpretations in these columns, and we will only refer the Era to the discussions of the best critics on this matter, and it will see that we have plenty of justification (besides all common sense, etc.,) to sustain us in this reading.
