The HUA Formed a Team to Resolve a Constitutional Crisis. It’s Not Going Well.
The small attendance of Freshmen at the game between the 1900 eleven and Exeter, Saturday, was disappointing to the management, discouraging to the eleven, and discreditable to the whole class.
The day was pleasant; there was no 'Varsity game in Cambridge to attend, and the game was the first important one on the Freshman schedule; yet there was but a mere handful of spectators. The eleven can hardly be blamed for not playing a good game when they had not enough supporters to raise an effective cheer. They have difficulties of their own, which should be offset by the hearty support of their classmates, rather than added to by the lack of it. A privilege is granted the class in allowing it to represent the University in intercollegiate contests; and it is its duty in return to do everything in its power to send out winning teams. Every man in the class can aid in defeating the Pennsylvania Freshmen, giving by the eleven hearty and constant support from now until the day of the game.
