The senior class at Columbia are discussing the question of leaving a memorial to the college for the building of a gymnasium.

The Hon. Leverett Saltonstall, who has been appointed Collector of the Port of Boston, to succeed Roland Worthington, is a native of Salem, Massachusetts, and a little more than sixty years of age. He was graduated at Harvard in 1844, and spent three years in the Harvard Law School.
