The first regular meeting of the term of the Harvard Total Abstinence League was held last evening in Sever 13. The following named gentlemen were elected officers for the academic year : President, E. Cummings, '83; vice-president, H. M. Lloyd, '83; secretary and treasurer, J. B. Wilson, '84. Any student of Harvard University may become a member by signing the constitution. Membership ceases upon a written resignation or the severing of connection with the university. The secretary will meet any who desire to become members of the society, at his room, 68 Thayer. The secretary's hours of business will be posted in a few days.
