EDITORS HARVARD HERALD: The total amount which has been paid in for building the new track is $3350,50. This money has been collected from the different classes as follows:
Seniors $499.00
Juniors 845.00
Sophomores 901.00
Freshmen 50.00
Scientific School 35.50
Athletic Association 1000.00
------------
$3330.50
This sum includes subscriptions from graduates which have been paid to the committees from the classes. A good deal more money has been subscribed but not yet paid. The committee hope that all who have subscribed will pay up before they leave for the summer and that those who have not yet subscribed will give as much as they can, as it will require fully $10,000 to get the new track and grounds into first class shape. The committee wish that every man in college who takes any interest in Harvard athletics would do his best to collect money for the new grounds and to awaken interest on the subject among graduates. Subscriptions may be paid to the class committees or to any one of the undersigned.
