BASE-BALL.

THE FRESHMEN DEFEATED THE J. L. WHITING NINE 8 TO 7.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Holden led at the bat, and was closely followed by Thayer, Tyng, and Latham. Latham played at second base in his usual exemplary style.
