The management of the Foot-Ball Association received yesterday morning a telegram announcing the Annual Convention of the Foot-Ball League to be held in New York today. Since Harvard is still a member of the league she must be represented, and her delegates must give some final answer in regard to the fulfillment of her engagements. In order to get some idea of our position in reference to the maintenance of inter-collegiate foot-ball, President Eliot was interviewed, and the committee was given distinctly to understand that in his personal opinion there was no possible chance of our playing any inter-collegiate games this year; but he also said that if the game as played this year by the other colleges proved satisfactory, there was every chance of our playing next year; therefore the management deem it advisable that the game should be kept up through class games, which will be arranged later. A delegate has gone to New York to endeavor to secure Harvard's position in the league for another year.
