Freshman Athletic Meeting.

HOLMES FIELD, WEDNESDAY, OCT. 28, 1885, 4 P. M.

The annual freshman meeting of the Harvard Athletic Association will take place Monday, October 29 at 4 p. m. No one will be allowed to compete unless he has been examined by Dr. Sargent. The events will be as follows: 100 yards dash, 220 yards dash, one-quarter mile run, one-half mile run, one mile run, 120 yards hurdle race, one-mile walk, two mile bicycle race, putting the shot, throwing the hammer, running high jump, running broad jump, pole vault. This meeting is open to freshmen only, including freshmen in all undergraduate departments.

The entries close Friday, October 26 at 10 p. m.; names should be handed to Jacob Wendell Jr., 9 Linden St. There will also be a handicap University meeting on Saturday, Nov. 3d at 2.30 p. m., at which the events will be the same as in the freshman meeting. Entries for this meeting close Friday, Nov. 2, at 10 p. m. and should also be handed to Jacob Wendell, 9 Linden St. The entrance fee for both meetings will be $1.00 for every event, which will be returned if the distance is covered.
