Eighteen men met last night to consider the advisability of forming a lacrosse club. H. A. Leighton Gr., was elected chairman, and several old lacrosse players spoke of the value and pleasure of lacrosse as a sport and as a form of exercise. It was thought best not to start out by forming a team, but by practicing every day, either outdoors or in the gymnasium, to draw out all interested in lacrosse, and later to form a permanent organization.

A team to contest with other local teams will be made up probably some time next spring. Meanwhile a committee of five, with H. A. Leighton as chairman, which will be appointed immediately, will carry on all matters of business which may come up. There will be practice every Friday afternoon at 3.30 during the winter, either in the Gymnasium or in the Carey Building.

There is good reason to believe that a regular ground may be set apart for lacrosse players in the spring.
