The A. A. U. is taking a vote of its members by mail as to the advisability of trying to control amateur baseball.

Fifteen men are now out daily practicing the code with the Signal Corps. From these men ten will soon be chosen to form the corps. The election of officers resulted as follows: Lieutenant J. F. Neal 1 L.; sergeant, B. P. Merrick '99. Two corporals are to be chosen by the lieutenant.

The scheme of scoring at the Mott Haven games this year will be as follows: First place, 5 points; second place, 3 points; third place, 2 points; fourth place, 1 point.

C. O. Swain 1900 who broke his leg in a scrub game of ball two weeks ago, has been in the Cambridge Hospital ever since. He is now well enough to be moved and will go to his home in Malden tomorrow.

In the spring championship games of the A. A. U. which were held in New Orleans on Saturday, Wefers of Georgetown University won the 100 yards and 220 yards dashes; the former in 10 1-5, the latter in 22 seconds. In the same meet Flannagan by throwing the hammer 153 tf. 7 in established a new world's record for that event.
