The committee on Literature and Art of the New York Harvard Club is endeavoring to make as complete a collection as possible of Harvard memorabilia, comprising Presidents', Treasurers' and Class Secretaries' Reports; Class Day and Commencement Programs; Catalogues of all college societies and all books and pamphlets of any kind relating to Harvard or published by Harvard men. Thus this library will furnish reliable and easily accessible information regard to any question which may arise in reference to Harvard. Nearly complete files of all the college papers have already been secured. The "Harvard Lyceum," the first college paper, issued in 1810-11, the "Harvard Register," "Collegian," "Harvard Magazine," "Advocate," "Magenta," "Echo," "Herald," "Crimson," all are more or less well represented. Many of the numbers, however, are missing and donations of all kinds are solicited. One or two odd numbers of college papers, class secretaries reports, theatrical programs, photographs, in fact anything, however small, will be thoroughly appreciated. Duplicates are very valuable for purposes of exchange and there cannot be too many of them. If anybody has any books or papers that he is willing to contribute, they may be mailed to the committee at 11 West 22d street, New York City. If the articles are in New York the committee will be glad to send for them. Such things are almost valueless in individual hands, and are often scattered or lost. Collected, they may be of the greatest use, and, in any case, they will be preserved with the greatest care.
