The Nineteenth Century Club will hold a reception in the Opera House at New York to-night. An address will be delivered by Dr. Daniel G. Brinton, Professor in the University of Pennsylvania, on the "Aims and Traits of a World Language." A discussion will take place after the lecture, and it will be participated in by Professor Charles E. Sprague, representing Volapuk, and Professor Alexander M. Bell, on behalf of "World English." President Eliot, of Harvard, ex-President McCosh, of Princeton, and ex-President Porter, of Yale, who are members of the club, will probably be present.
