Notes from the Boat House.

Single working boats are in great demand at this time, and as there is only one serviceable single belonging to the Boat Club, men have to wait patiently for their turn to use it. A number of good singles are very much needed.

The faculty are seriously considering building a new boat house just opposite the present one, and it is very likely that work will be begun this summer.

Dr. Sargent was done to see the crews go out yesterday afternoon.

Burgess, '87, of the '85 and '86 'varsity crews was up the river in a single yesterday and stopped at the boat house.

The 'varsity crew went out yesterday at 5 o'clock. The inability to use the launch is seriously felt in coaching the crew; yesterday, Mr. Watson coached the crew from a pair-oar. Schroll is at present rowing 6 and Tilton 4; Carpenter and Gorham, substitutes.

Williams and Parker are rowing as substitutes on the '91 crew, and Cumnock is back in his old place as stroke.
