The chess players of the Chess and Whist Club have been invited to visit the rooms of the Boston Chess Club, 33 Pemberton Square, Boston, this evening, and engage in a friendly contest. All the Harvard men will play separate games simultaneously against Mr. Prentiss Cummings, one of the strongest players of the Boston Club. The Chess and Whist Club has accepted the invitation, as it will give a good chance to compare strength with outside players, and will send the following delegation: H. Webster, Gr., R. D. Brown, '90, L. W. Chamberlin, '90, O. Everett, '91, H. A. Davis, '91, F. M. Brown, '90, and F. W. Nicolls, '92.
