Funeral of Professor Bowen.

The funeral service of the late Professor Bowen was held in Appleton chapel yesterday afternoon at three o'clock. The chapel was filled to overflowing with the friends of the deceased. The Rev. Dr. Peabody read a passage from the Bible and Rev. William Lawrence delivered a prayer. Most of the older members of the faculty were present and many of the early graduates of Harvard. Among the members of Professor Bowen's class were Dr. Morrill Wyman, Professor Torrey and Professor Lovering.
