CHASE WINS THE SINGLES.

In the semi-finals yesterday Chase beat Potter, 6-1, 6-4; he then played Orcutt in the finals at 3 o'clock, and despite the intense cold, both men put up a strong game. Chase was in fine trim yet he had to use all his skill to beat Orcutt. The score, 7-5, 7-9, 6-4, 6-3.

Chase will meet Tallant, the college champion, next Saturday at 2 o'clock on Holmes' field to decide the championship for this year.
