The Exonian has compiled statistics in regard to the number of men who will enter the various colleges from Exeter next year. The following is a summary of the senior class which numbers sixty-one men:
M. I. T 1
Of the eight seniors on the foot ball team three will come to Harvard,- Furman (captain), and Newell who played on the rushline, and Gage, half-back. Four will enter Yale,- Howland and James, rushers, Word, quarterback, and Stothers, full-back. The other man, Bardwell, will go to Lehigh. Of the literary men at Exeter among the seniors, Furman and Grover of the Exonian board will come to Cambridge while Stothers goes to Yale. Of the four Literary Monthly editors three will enter Harvard. The representation in general, according to the above figures, which will enter Harvard is something like 50 per cent, while Yale gets about 18 per cent. This is just about the same position in which the representation stood last year between Yale and Harvard.
The Exonian has obtained also the following figures in regard to the middle or third year class at Exeter. These figures, however, cannot be deemed final for there is always a large number of men who enter the senior class at Exeter to take a final year in preparation for Harvard.
The following is a summary of the middle class:
M. I. T 11
W. P. I 2
Boston Univ 1
Of the two middlers on the football team, one will go to Harvard, one to Yale. Of the three middlers on the Exonian board, one will enter Yale one will enter Cornell and one will enter Columbia.
