The Conference Francaise met last evening in the society's rooms. Two new members were initiated, Mr. H. W. Patterson and Mr. V. M. Porter. The speaker to the evening was Mr. Stanislas Danion, who was last year assistant in French in this university, and has this winter been giving a series of fifteen lectures in Boston, on French literature, His subject was Student Life in Paris. He described the arrival of a specimen country student in the French capital, his studies, his amusements, his friendships. The attendance was very good.
