The Yale nine was beaten by the New Yorks last Wednesday, the score standing 12 to 6; by the Brooklyns Thursday, score 21 to 5; by the New Yorks again Saturday, score 11 to 3. Every's pitching was not effective. On Monday again Yale was beaten by the Baltimores, score 20 to 7. Poole caught finely, but Bowers' pitching was poor.
