It is unfortunate that mistakes in both the CRIMSON and some of the Boston papers should have underestimated Harard's growth of the present year. In yesterday's CRIMSON the total number in 1889-90 should have been 2059 instead of 1959. This makes the gain of 1890-91 over that of 1889-90 only 193, compared with which our present gain of 361 assumes its true enormous proportions.

One of the Boston papers stated that the numbers of the University were 2610, including men who attended the summer schools and graduate students of the medical school. The account should have read "excluding," for if such men are included and also those who have not yet registered in the Divinity School, it is safe to say that the total will reach 2650.
