Banjo Candidates.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The following candidates for the Freshman Banjo Club presented themselves last night: F. B. Hill, B. Read, D. Neff, N. Bent, J. P. Roman, R. Gilman, J. H. Williams, A. J. Wilcomb, T. Parker, W. D. Brookings, Sargent, Chamberlin and Stone.

The material was exceptionally promising, and the prospects for the success of the club are very good. All the candidates, however, were banjo payers, and no guitars presented themselves. This may have been through ignorance that they were wanted or because there are none in the class sufficiently interested to come. But it is positively necessary to have guitars and when at a later date a trial is given for them, it is hoped that all who can play will present themselves.
