An adjourned meeting of the Board of Overseers of Harvard College was held at eleven o'clock yesterday, Solomon Lincoln, president, in the chair. It was voted to concur with the president and fellows in their vote electing William Fiske Whitney, M. D., professor of parasites and parisitic diseases, The report of the committee on election was adopted which provides that nominations be made in twice the number of vacancies by the alumni association and that a candidate may be put in nomination by receiving the endorsement of 100 alumni. The nominations are to be made ten days before Commencement to the secretary of the board of overseers. The names with classes, occupation and records of the candidates are to be made into an official ballot which alone will be received and which is to be marked with the X as in the Australian system. The committee of the overseers in charge of the elections shall print the official list of candidates in two newspapers in Boston before the elections.
