Harvard Entries for the B. A. A. Games.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Owing to the inaccurate reports in the daily papers of the entries and handicaps in the B. A. A. games of the 14th of this month, the DAILY CRIMSON prints a list of men entered from the H. A. A. with their handicaps, taken from Mr. Cornish's official lists. The total number of Harvard entries is 114; in the 75 yards, 44 men; in the 300 yards, 35 men; in the 600 yards, 13 men; in the 1000 yards, 11 men; in the novice quarter, five, and scattered entries in other events. The handicapping, which was done by Carter, is in the main fair, and although the better known men are kept pretty near scratch, most of them are in good enough condition to stand it.

Of the new men who may be expected to do something are Lakin and Nicholls in the mile, Bloss in the 75 yards. Batchelder, Lowell, Carr, Fearing, Moen and Stead are all in fair condition and should get places in their events should they not prove to be too heavily handicapped. Upon the basis of Finlay's work in practice, his handicap of 4 ft. 6 in should give him an excellent chance at winning the 16 lb. shot. H. M. Wheelwright also has a good handicap in the pole vault and should get a place. The following is the list:
