The outlook for the spring athletics at Princeton is very promising, and by the end of the year the New Jersey men hope to go home with at least one championship to their credit.

The baseball team has the best outlook. All of last year's nine, which came so near beating Yale, are back in college with one exception, McMillan the right fielder. Dana '91, will be the captain again and will play first base for the fourth consecutive year. Young and Brokaw will compose the battery; this will be their third year in the points. Second base will be covered by Durell who has played in that position for five years. Watts and Knickerbocker will make up the infield, and for the out field Payne and Woodcock are both excellent men. Thus it will be seen that Princeton will be represented by a veteran team on the ball nine, and one which any nine may fear.

It is fifteen years since Princeton has won the Mott Haven Cup, but this time she has great hope of capturing the cup. Cary is in excellent form and Princeton expects him to carry off the two dashes. Roddy, who finished second to Downs last spring, will represent the college in the quarter and half mile runs, and between Woodbridge, Turner and himself, Princeton ought to win some places. Borcherling who took third in the mile walk, and Jefferson, who won second in the hammer are back. Ramsdell, who holds the championship for the Eastern United States in the broad jump is a member of the freshman class and will compete in the games. In the high jump, pole vault, bicycle and hurdles, however, Princeton will be but poorly represented.

Jack McMasters has been secured as coach for the track athletics, and Tim Keefe will attend to the nine.
