With the exception of a stiff wind blowing down the river yesterday the day was most excellent for rowing. About 3 o'clock Captain Perkins and Shaw went out in the pair-oar, while Charlie Hart steered for them. Captain Parker of the '91 crew afterwards took Hart's place until 4.15 when the 'varsity men were ready to take out the barge. The men rowed as on Monday, except that Powers '92 rowed at 4.
The '91 crew was also on the river for the first time. Captain Parker had his men arranged as follows: Stroke, Bishop; 7, Randol; 6, Fitzhugh; 5, Blanchard; 4, Cumnock; 3, Stickney, 2, Tallant; bow, Smith. Captain Parker steered and coached the crew.
