"The Whirlwind" will be given at the Hollis Street Theatre during the week. The play is a modern comedy based upon ordinary scenes in Wall Street. The characters represent typical New York financiers and those who are popularly supposed to be their victims. Helen Dauvray, the heroine, is excellent as an American girl of sense and and humor and carries a difficult part well. The hero represents the head of the New York Clearing House and is said to be a good study of the original. As a whole the acting, which is admirable, is much better than the play itself, which is very wordy and loosely put together.
