AMERICAN POLITICAL METHODS.Professor Albert Bushnell Hart will deliver several lectures from time to time on current political topics. The lectures will be open to the public and will be held in Sever 11, at 7.30 p.m. The first will be Thursday, Oct. 27. - How the President is elected.

LECTURES ON THE BEGINNINGS OF MODERN POETRY.In October and November, Professor A. R. Marsh will give a course of six lectures on the Beginnings of Modern Poetry in Europe. These lectures are open to the public. They will be given in Sever 11 on Tuesday evenings at 7.30, as follows:

Oct. 25. - The Middle Ages as a Period of Origins.

Nov.1. Provencal Poetry.

Nov. 8. Old French Poetry.

Nov. 15. Italian Poetry before Dante.

Nov. 22. Early Spanish Poetry.

Nov. 29. Mediaeval German Poetry.
