The graduate cup for goal kicking, which was presented to the college three year ago, will be competed for on Monday at three o'clock on Jarvis Field. According to the deed of gift, the cup is held in trust by the Captain of the eleven, and competition for it will be for ten years. At the end of that time the one who has scored the highest will become its possessor.
Each competitor will have three trials from each of the 25, 35, and 45 yard lines, these to be drop kicks; and three trials at place kicks from each of the 30, 40, and 50 yard lines. Successful kicks from the 25 and 30 yard lines will count two points each, those from the 35 and 40 yard lines three points, and those from the 45 and 50 yard lines five points.
The following men are eligible to try at the contest on Monday: Trafford. Emmons, Mason, Shea, Upton, Waters, Lewis, Mackie, Newell, Hallowell, Gray, Lake, Brewer, Lee, Corbett, Gage, Burgess, Fairchild, Brice, Eddy, Highlands, Russell, Acton, Foster, Collamore.
The first year the contest was won by Dennison '92. Last year and the year previous Trafford '93 was the successful competitor. The best score as yet is twenty-one made by Trafford two years ago.
Mr. Gardner Perry L. S. will be referee of the contest.
