Yale is to have a new building for the use of the track athletics and base ball men during the winter months. The athletic association has been presented by one of the recent graduates of the university with the funds necessary for its construction and work on it will be commenced as soon as practicable.
The location of the structure is as yet undetermined, but the chances are that it will be placed in the rear of the new gymnasium. The building will be used principally for a base ball cage, and will be about 200 feet square, with a dirt floor. The cage will be surrounded by a cement running track, which will also be used for bicycle practice.
