One of the most important appointments which has been made by the Corporation in several years is that of Professor Hugo Munsterberg, M. D. Ph. D., of Freiberg, Baden, Germany, to take charge of the department of psychologcal experimentation for advanced students. Professor Munsterberg, a young man, has acquired considerable reputation among psychologists.
About four years ago, Professor Munsterberg published a treatise on "Die Willenshandlung," a valuable contribution to the literature of this subject. He has since published three volumes of his "Beitrage zum Experimentalen Psychologie," in which is displayed brilliant originality, and great ingenuity in devising experiments to test the truth of the accepted theories. He will begin his demonstrations here at the beginning of the next academic year.
