Yesterday at the noon hour a simple, quiet service was held in Appleton Chapel over the remains of Miss Katherine Ward Lane, daughter of Professor G. M. Lane. The service was conducted by Bishop Lawrence. In accordance with a wish of Miss Lane, expressed some time ago, Sullivan's "Lost Chord" was sung. The choir sang two appropriate hymns, and Bishop Lawrence read suitable passages from the Bible.
