The New Harvard Union will hold a competitive debate this evening open to all candidates for election. The question, "Resolved that U. S. Senators should be elected by a direct vote of the people," will be opened by E. H. Warren '95 and A. W. White, Sp. All candidates for election will then be invited to speak. A committee, consisting of Assistant Professor Cummings, Mr. Conant and Mr. Copeland will recommend all promising men, and from the number thus recommended new members will be elected.
