The year has opened with a much larger registration in all departments than ever before. This is especially the case in the Graduate Schools. The Law School has a total registration of 252, which makes it one of the largest in the country. The freshman class in the Medical School numbers 80, against a registration last year of 45. Of the 139 students in the School of Theology, 70 are new members, and 87 are college graduates.
The new state buildings which are to be built in a very few years, will deprive the university of its present site. Although a large tract of land is owned in Brookline, new buildings will probably be erected on some other part of Beacon Hill.
