A meeting of the officers of the rowing club was held yesterday afternoon when the prospects of the club crews were discussed.

It is much to be regretted that the candidates for these crews do not take a livelier interest in their work, for without regular training it is impossible to obtain successful results.

The club has gone to the expense of having a professional coach at the boat house daily, who is always ready to coach the candidates. As yet, however, his efforts have been useless as the men have taken so languid an interest in the matter.

The race with the B. A. A. takes place on the third of June, and it is therefore to be hoped that more enthusiasm will be shown in a crew which in a certain measure is to represent the university.
