The 'varsity crew candidates are now in active training and there are twenty-two men trying for places in the boat. The work so far has been very elementary, most of the time being spent on the body swing, although some work has been done on the other parts of the stroke.
The work is being done on the rowing machines and it will be some little time before tank work is taken up. N. Perkins, L. S., and Captain Davis are doing most of the coaching.
