George Richard Minot '71, died Wednesday morning at his residence, 415 Commonwealth avenue. About six weeks ago he was attacked by la grippe, and, when apparently nearly recovered, suddenly relapsed and died after only two days serious illness.

Mr. Minot was born in Boston, March 3, 1849. He prepared for college in private schools in Boston, and was graduated in the class of '71. He entered at once into business, and at the time of his death was the senior member of the firm of Minot, Hooper and Co. The funeral services will be held in Trinity Church today at half past twelve o'clock, and will be conducted by Bishop Lawrence.
