The second game of the class series was played yesterday afternoon between the freshmen and the sophomores and resulted in another victory for the former. Throughout the eleven innings the contest was extremely exciting, and considering the interference of the spectators, both teams fielded well. The batting of both teams was weak, especially that of the sophomores, who were retired several times when the bases were full. Whittemore, Wrenn and Morton played a strong fielding game for the sophomores, while Warren, Stevens and Dunlop excelled in this respect for the freshmen. Gregory pitched well and was especially effective at critical points. The features of the game were the three double plays by Whittemore, Wrenn and Griffin. The score is as follows:
